ISSUE 001 — WELCOME TO DONT KEEP POINTS
Everybody sees the scoreboard.
Nobody sees the game.
That's why so many people misunderstand success.
They see the trophy.
They don't see the mornings.
They see the championship.
They don't see the practices.
They see the promotion.
They don't see the years.
They see the outcome.
They don't see the process.
But the process is the whole story.
The game is where everything happens.
The game is where people are built.
The game is where confidence is earned.
The game is where character is tested.
The game is where the future is created.
EVERYBODY WANTS THE TROPHY
Nobody wants the mornings.
Everybody wants the championship.
Nobody wants the repetitions.
Everybody wants recognition.
Nobody wants uncertainty.
Everybody wants results.
Nobody wants the process.
But the process is the price.
Every outcome has a cost.
Every achievement has a sacrifice.
Every win has a story behind it.
The scoreboard only shows the ending.
The game contains the entire journey.
THE GAME IS THE WORK
The game is training.
The game is studying.
The game is building.
The game is creating.
The game is practicing.
The game is learning.
The game is failing.
The game is improving.
Most of the game isn't exciting.
Most of the game isn't glamorous.
Most of the game doesn't get posted.
The game is often repetitive.
The game is often boring.
The game is often difficult.
That's why most people quit.
Not because they don't want the outcome.
Because they don't love the process.
FALL IN LOVE WITH THE PROCESS
The people who last aren't always the most talented.
They're the people who learn to enjoy the game.
They find meaning in the repetition.
Purpose in the practice.
Joy in the improvement.
They stop needing constant validation.
They stop chasing applause.
They stop needing immediate results.
Because they understand something important:
The process itself is the reward.
Growth is the reward.
Progress is the reward.
Becoming is the reward.
THE DAYS NOBODY REMEMBERS
Most of life isn't made up of big moments.
It's made up of ordinary days.
The workout you almost skipped.
The chapter you almost didn't read.
The call you almost didn't make.
The project you almost abandoned.
The habit you almost quit.
Those moments don't feel important.
But they are.
Because your life is built in ordinary moments.
Not extraordinary ones.
The game isn't won on game day.
The game is won on all the days leading up to it.
RESPECT THE REPETITION
Repetition isn't punishment.
It's preparation.
Every great athlete repeats fundamentals.
Every great artist repeats fundamentals.
Every great entrepreneur repeats fundamentals.
Every great performer repeats fundamentals.
Mastery isn't created through intensity.
It's created through repetition.
Doing the right things over and over again.
Long after the excitement disappears.
Long after motivation fades.
Long after the novelty wears off.
The game rewards consistency.
Not emotion.
WHEN THE SCOREBOARD ISN'T MOVING
This is where most people quit.
Because they're measuring progress through outcomes.
They don't see results.
So they stop.
They don't see recognition.
So they stop.
They don't see momentum.
So they stop.
The problem is they were watching the scoreboard.
Not the game.
Sometimes growth is invisible.
Sometimes progress is happening beneath the surface.
Sometimes you're becoming stronger before becoming successful.
The player who understands this keeps going.
THE GAME IS FOREVER
The scoreboard changes.
The game remains.
One goal leads to another.
One season leads to another.
One chapter leads to another.
There will always be another mountain.
Another challenge.
Another opportunity to grow.
That's why we don't worship outcomes.
Because outcomes end.
The game continues.
And if you're only playing for outcomes, eventually you'll burn out.
But if you learn to enjoy the game, you'll keep showing up.
Year after year.
Season after season.
Opportunity after opportunity.
